On-device fingerprint
Every export gets a SHA-256 fingerprint computed on your phone. The archive stays in the app with optional Face ID.
Private by design
No account, no servers, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. Nothing is uploaded unless you tap share yourself.
The Mac companion
A free companion for macOS reads your Mac’s Messages database at ~/Library/Messages/chat.db locally and read-only, and only after you grant Full Disk Access. It writes a package that you move to your iPhone yourself, so nothing about your conversations passes through a server.
The Mac companion is free. It exists to bring iMessage and SMS threads into Fair Copy without asking you to trust a cloud.
Purchases
Fair Copy uses Apple In-App Purchase (StoreKit 2). A Lifetime unlock is $24.99 as a one-time non-consumable purchase. A Single Export is $9.99 as a one-time consumable purchase.
Apple processes the payment. We never see your card details. Restore Purchases is available inside the app so a Lifetime unlock follows your Apple ID.
Prices are shown in your local currency in the app before you confirm anything, and those figures are the authoritative ones.

Fair Copy produces a formatted record of messages you already have. It is not legal advice, it cannot guarantee that a court or authority will accept any document it produces, and the formatting does not by itself establish authenticity.
