Fair Copy turns text conversations you already have into a paginated, numbered PDF, plus a CSV and a plain-text copy. It reads WhatsApp chat export files you import, screenshots you select from Photos, and packages created by the free Mac companion.

Fair Copy is published on the App Store by VIIONR INFOTECH PRIVATE LIMITED. By using the app you agree to these terms.

Fair Copy is a formatting and archiving tool. It is not legal advice.

The SHA-256 fingerprint that Fair Copy computes for each export shows whether that file has changed since it was created. It does not, by itself, prove who wrote the underlying messages, when they were sent, or that they were not altered before you imported them.

We cannot promise that a court, tribunal, employer, insurer or any other authority will accept a document produced by the app. Whether they do depends on their own rules of evidence.

If a matter is important, take advice from a qualified lawyer in the relevant jurisdiction.

The iPhone app processes everything on your device: WhatsApp chat exports you import, screenshots you pick, and packages you bring in from the Mac companion. Nothing is uploaded by the app.

The free Mac companion reads your Mac’s Messages database at ~/Library/Messages/chat.db locally and read-only, and only after you grant macOS Full Disk Access. It writes a package on your Mac that you move to your iPhone yourself. You are responsible for how and where you transfer that package.

Fair Copy does not modify the WhatsApp export file, the Photos library, or the Messages database. It only reads them.

Fair Copy uses Apple In-App Purchase (StoreKit 2). Two products are available.

Lifetime: a one-time, non-consumable purchase for USD 24.99 that unlocks the paid features for the Apple ID that bought it. It can be restored on any device signed in with that Apple ID.

Single Export: a one-time, consumable purchase for USD 9.99 that unlocks one export. Consumables are not restored.

Prices are shown in your local currency in the app before you confirm anything, and those figures are the authoritative ones. Apple processes the payment and issues receipts.

There is no subscription and no free trial.

Restore Purchases is available inside the app so a Lifetime unlock follows your Apple ID between devices and reinstalls.

Apple handles all refunds for App Store purchases, so we cannot issue one. Refund requests go to Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com.

The app is licensed to you, not sold. Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement applies to your use of the app, and these terms sit alongside it.

You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute the app, or remove any notices from it, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits.

You are responsible for the content you import into Fair Copy and for having the right to process it under the laws that apply to you, including any consent required to record or archive a conversation.

Conversations, screenshots and exports remain on your device and are not transmitted to us. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is processed and by whom.

We may add, change or remove features, and we may stop supporting older versions of iOS and macOS. We aim to keep the app working, but we do not guarantee it will be available without interruption or free of defects.

We may update these terms when the app changes or when legal requirements change. The updated date at the top of the page shows the latest version.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for the acceptance or rejection of any document by a third party, or for loss arising from reliance on an export, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
