Citizenship Test Prep 2026

Straight answers for studying, voice practice, reminders, and your locally stored progress.

Should I study the 2008 or 2025 civics test?

Use the test version that applies to your N-400 filing date and official appointment instructions. Check the current USCIS civics-test guidance at https://www.uscis.gov/citizenship before choosing a question bank. The app is a study aid, not an eligibility determination.

What does my practice score mean?

Your score reflects completed practice, not your probability of passing or an official assessment. Build 2 adds a personal review plan with question history, next-review dates and memory cues. Missed answers return after 10 minutes; correct recall on separate days advances the review interval.

The microphone or speech recognition is not working.

Open iOS Settings, find Citizenship Test Prep 2026, and check Microphone and Speech Recognition permissions. In build 2, voice practice also requires Apple on-device English speech recognition. If your device does not support it or permission is denied, use typed answers instead. Quizzes, flashcards, and reading practice remain available.

How do study reminders work?

Turn reminders on in the app's Settings screen and allow notifications when iOS asks. The app schedules a daily 7:00 PM reminder on your device. You can disable it in the app or in iOS Settings at any time.

Are the current officials and answers always up to date?

Some civics answers can change after elections or appointments. The app links to official USCIS and government sources; check those sources close to your interview for any answer that depends on your location or a current officeholder.

Where is my study and interview information stored?

Your progress, review history, personal memory cues, bookmarks, checklist, ZIP code, preferences, and any receipt number you enter stay on your device. The app does not require an account and does not upload this information to us.

How do I erase my study data?

Open Settings in the app and choose Reset Study Progress. Deleting the app also removes its locally stored data from that device.

Is this an official USCIS app?

No. Citizenship Test Prep 2026 is an independent study tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by USCIS or any government agency. It is not legal advice and does not guarantee an interview result.
