Terms of Service
Last updated: August 16, 2026. These terms cover the Speedometer Pro subscription, safe use while driving, and the limits of a GPS speed reading.
What Simple Speedometer does
Simple Speedometer shows your current speed using your iPhone's GPS, along with accuracy, compass heading and altitude. It can mirror the readout for windshield use, overlay speed on a live camera view, and save private trip summaries on your device.
Simple Speedometer is published on the App Store by VIIONR INFOTECH PRIVATE LIMITED. By using the app you agree to these terms.
Not a certified instrument
Speed shown by this app is derived from GPS. Its accuracy depends on satellite signal quality, weather, buildings, tunnels and your device's hardware, and it may be wrong or unavailable.
The app is not a certified or legally approved speed measuring instrument. It does not replace the speedometer fitted to your vehicle, and it must not be relied on for any legal, evidential or safety-critical purpose.
You remain responsible for obeying posted speed limits and traffic law at all times.
Safe use while driving
Mount your device securely and configure the app before you start driving. Never hold your device or interact with its screen while driving.
The windshield head-up display reflects the screen onto glass. Check that using it is legal where you drive, that the reflection does not obstruct your view of the road, and that your device is mounted so it cannot come loose.
You use the app entirely at your own risk, and you are responsible for driving safely and lawfully.
Speedometer Pro subscription
Title of service: Speedometer Pro.
Length of subscription: 1 month (auto-renewing) or 1 year (auto-renewing).
Price: shown in your local currency on the subscription screen inside the app before you purchase.
A Speedometer Pro subscription unlocks the complete app: the large live GPS speed display, MPH, KPH, knots and m/s, GPS accuracy, compass heading and altitude, private trip summaries, the mirrored windshield HUD, and the live camera view with speed overlay.
There is no free trial.
Billing, renewal and cancellation
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings after purchase. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not retroactively refund the period you are already in.
Restore Purchases is available on the subscription screen and in Settings if you reinstall the app or move to a new device.
Apple processes all payments and issues all refunds. We cannot issue refunds ourselves. Refund requests go to Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com.
Licence
The app is licensed to you, not sold. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement applies to your use of the app, and these terms sit alongside it.
You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute the app, or remove any notices from it, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits.
We may suspend access if the app is used in breach of these terms.
Your data
Location and saved trips remain on your device and are not transmitted to us. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is processed and by whom.
Availability and changes
We may add, change or remove features, and we may stop supporting older versions of iOS. We aim to keep the app working, but we do not guarantee it will be available without interruption or free of defects.
We may update these terms when the app changes or when legal requirements change. The updated date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for fines or penalties you incur, or for loss arising from reliance on a speed reading, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
