Bug Bounty Academy (com.bugbounty.app, “the app”, “we”) is an educational Android app
that teaches bug bounty and web-security concepts. This policy explains what data the app handles.
The app is designed to work without accounts and keeps your learning data on your device. We do not collect your name, email, or contact details through the app.
On-device data (not collected by us). Your learning progress — chapters read, quiz scores, XP, streak, bookmarks, program watchlist, and app preferences — is stored locally on your device using Android DataStore. It is never sent to us, and it is removed if you clear the app’s data, use “Reset progress”, or uninstall the app.
Advertising (Google AdMob). The app shows ads through Google AdMob. Google may collect and process device identifiers (including the advertising ID) and usage data to serve and measure ads, as described in Google’s policies. Where required, Google’s User Messaging Platform presents consent choices before the app requests an ad. You can revisit those choices from Settings → Advertising privacy whenever that option is required in your region. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Google’s advertising practices. The app requests the advertising ID permission for this purpose.
External links. The app links out to third-party websites (program pages, write-ups, practice platforms, and a community collaboration board). Those sites have their own privacy policies and terms; we are not responsible for their content or data practices.
Bug Bounty Academy is intended for a teen and adult audience (13+). It is not directed to children and is not listed under child-directed / Designed for Families programs.
Because learning data is stored only on your device, you can delete it at any time using Settings → Reset progress, by clearing the app’s storage in Android Settings, or by uninstalling the app.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
