Terms of Service

Last updated: September 26, 2026. These terms cover the one-time Rimlight Pro purchase and camera compatibility.

What Rimlight does

Rimlight is a Mac app that controls the hardware settings of USB webcams, saves them as Looks, switches Looks per app, restores them after reconnecting, and includes Fix My Lighting. It is published on the Mac App Store by DIGITALSTALK PRIVATE LIMITED. By using the app you agree to these terms.

Camera compatibility

Rimlight works with cameras that follow the USB Video Class (UVC) standard. Which controls are available depends on what your camera exposes; some cameras support only a few. Built-in Mac cameras and Continuity Camera offer limited or no hardware controls, which is a platform limitation.

If your camera does not respond, email us and we will help. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Rimlight Pro

Rimlight is free to download with the live preview, every manual control and one saved Look.

Rimlight Pro is a one-time, non-consumable purchase of USD 12.99 that unlocks unlimited Looks, automatic switching per app, Fix My Lighting, reconnect restore and Looks in the menu bar. It is tied to the Apple ID that bought it and can be restored on any Mac signed in with that Apple ID.

There is no subscription and there are no advertisements. Prices are shown in your local currency in the app before you confirm anything, and those figures are the authoritative ones.

Licence

The app is licensed to you, not sold. Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. These terms sit alongside it.

You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute the app except where the law expressly permits.

Your settings

Looks and app rules stay on your Mac. Changes Rimlight makes are written to the camera itself, so other apps see them too; you can reset any control to its default inside Rimlight at any time.

Availability and changes

We may add, change or remove features and may stop supporting older macOS versions. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including a call or recording that did not look the way you wanted, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
