Terms of Service
Last updated: September 27, 2026.
Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and NHANCIO TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED ("we", "us") for the Passlight app for iPhone and iPad. By installing or using Passlight you agree to them. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and where these terms are stricter, these terms govern.
What Passlight is and is not
Passlight is a study aid for the DMV written knowledge test. Its questions are original and are written from each state's published driver handbook, and each question shows the handbook section it is based on.
Passlight is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any state DMV, BMV, MVA, RMV, DPS or other licensing agency. Test formats, pass marks and rules change; the official handbook and your licensing agency are the authority. Passlight does not guarantee that you will pass any test.
Pass Guarantee
"Pass Guarantee" is the name of the one-time purchase that unlocks all of Passlight's content and modes. It is a product name, not a warranty of any test outcome. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policy.
Purchases
Pass Guarantee is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that unlocks the full app on the Apple ID that bought it and can be restored on other devices signed in to that Apple ID. The 7-Day Pass is a non-renewing purchase that unlocks the same content for seven days from the time of purchase and never renews automatically.
All purchases are made through Apple. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may change for future purchases.
Your content and use
Your progress and results are stored on your device. You may use Passlight for personal, non-commercial study. You may not copy, scrape, redistribute or resell Passlight's question bank, explanations, sign artwork or code.
Intellectual property
Passlight, its question bank, explanations, design and artwork are owned by NHANCIO TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED. US road sign designs follow the Federal Highway Administration's Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, which is in the public domain. State handbooks referenced by citation are the property of their respective agencies.
Disclaimer and liability
Passlight is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to Passlight is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes and termination
We may update Passlight and these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms. We may stop offering Passlight at any time; purchased content remains available on your device for as long as the app runs on your iOS version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts in Hyderabad, Telangana having jurisdiction, except where the law of your country of residence gives you rights that cannot be waived.
