Terms of Use
Last updated: September 25, 2026. These terms cover your licence to the app, the one-time Pro purchase, and how removals work.
What Duplicate Finder does
Duplicate Finder: Disk Cleaner is a macOS app that finds duplicate files, similar photos, Photos library duplicates, and large or old files, shows a map of your disk, and moves the items you select to the Trash. It is provided on the Mac App Store by DIGITALSTALK PRIVATE LIMITED. By using the app you agree to these terms.
Apple Standard EULA
The app is licensed to you, not sold. Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. These terms sit alongside it, and if they conflict, the Apple Standard EULA prevails.
You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute the app except where the law expressly permits.
You decide what is removed
Results such as duplicate matches, similar-photo groups and best-shot suggestions are recommendations. You review and confirm every item before it is moved.
The app moves files to the macOS Trash and Photos items to Recently Deleted. It never erases them permanently. Once you empty the Trash, or Photos clears Recently Deleted, those items cannot be recovered through the app. Keep regular backups, for example with Time Machine.
Duplicate Finder Pro
Scanning and viewing results are free. Duplicate Finder Pro unlocks cleaning.
Duplicate Finder Pro is a one-time, non-consumable In-App Purchase of USD 19.99. It unlocks Pro for the Apple Account that bought it and can be restored on any Mac signed in with that Apple Account. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
Prices are shown in your local currency in the app before you confirm anything, and those figures are the authoritative ones. Apple processes all payments and refunds; request refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your data
Scans run entirely on your Mac and nothing is uploaded. The Privacy Policy explains exactly what the app reads and why.
Availability and changes
We may add, change or remove features, and may stop supporting older macOS versions. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, the app is provided as is, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of files you chose to remove, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
