Answers to the questions we get most, and a direct line to a human if none of them fit.
How does Barm predict the peak?
Barm uses your feed ratio, flour, kitchen temperature and the rise marks you log. After your first rise mark it estimates when the starter will peak, and every mark after that teaches it how your starter behaves in your kitchen.
How do I mark a rise?
Put a rubber band at the starter level right after feeding. Later, tap Mark rise and drag the line to the top of the starter, or use the stepper, to record how many times it has risen.
I didn’t get a peak notification.
Check that alerts are on in Barm’s Settings and in iOS Settings > Notifications > Barm. Reminders are local notifications, so Focus modes can hold them back.
Widgets or the Live Activity show old numbers.
iOS decides when widgets refresh. Open Barm to update them. If one is stuck, remove it and add it again.
How does iCloud sync work?
With iCloud on and your iPhone signed in to iCloud, Barm syncs through your own private iCloud database. Sign in with the same Apple ID on each device and keep iCloud turned on for Barm.
How do I start or cancel Barm Pro Yearly?
Subscribe on the paywall in the app. Cancel any time in iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > Barm. If you are in the 7-day free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid being charged.
How do I restore Barm Pro Lifetime?
Tap Restore purchase on the paywall or in Settings, signed in with the Apple ID that bought it.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles all App Store payments and refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com with the Apple ID you bought with.
